Our response to SNAP benefits cuts

Hundreds of thousands of Arizonans have lost access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamps, over the last year. Find help or help us feed neighbors in need.

Our Neighbors Need Us Now

Arizona leads the nation with the deepest cuts to SNAP. Over 450,000 Arizonans this past year have lost access to SNAP benefits. That's a roughly 55% cut. Approximately 200,000 of those people are children.

The families walking through our doors right now include people who were not seeking help six months ago. They're navigating a benefits system with long wait times, inaccessible online applications, and call-back systems that don't call back — often waiting more than a month just to find out if they qualify for help.

But there’s hope. For every person who relies on SNAP, seven more Arizonans can help.

Together, we can fill the gap.

How you can help:

In 2025 we launched our Feeding Our Neighbors Together initiative to rally our state to support those in need.

  • Donate to provide meals to families in need. A $25 gift fills a food box.
  • Host a food drive in your business, school, or neighborhood. We are especially in need of protein sources like canned tuna, peanut butter and soups.
  • Volunteer your time. We feed families and individuals every day of the year and your help is needed.

If someone you know needs help:

Please don’t hesitate to reach out or refer others to us. Visit the Get Help section of our website, which lists the following resources:

Meals and Food Boxes:
We offer hot meals at our dining rooms and emergency food boxes through our network of food pantries and drive-thru food box programs.

Rent and Utility Assistance:
Rent and utility bill help is available for those facing eviction or utility shutoff.
