Whether you are retired and looking for a meaningful way to spend your time, a college student looking for a service experience, or a just looking for a way to give back in your spare time, volunteering on-site with SVdP is a great option. We have opportunities for volunteers of all ages.

We provide a wide array of opportunities for service where you can feed, clothe, house and heal your neighbors in need. Our shifts, which begin at 2 hours minimum, give you the ability to either directly or indirectly serve our guests in need. With so many opportunities to choose from, we recommend trying out a few to find your passion.

Dining Rooms
At our dining rooms around the Valley you can serve hot meals to guests in need. We have locations in Mesa and Phoenix where you can serve individuals experiencing homelessness and families in need.

Thrift Stores
Volunteers help process, sort and stock items in our thrift stores. Our stores are located throughout the Valley so there are opportunities for you to volunteer in Surprise, Sunnyslope, Scottsdale, and Phoenix.

Kitchen Crew
Volunteers help the staff chop vegetables, make sandwiches for sack lunches and prepare over 7,000 meals a day to be served in our dining rooms. If you’re looking for an early-morning option this is the perfect opportunity.

How do I schedule a volunteer opportunity?

Signing up to volunteer is easy! Click the button to register, complete the volunteer interest form and one of our volunteer schedulers will reach out within two business days to coordinate a date and time. They'll also share parking instructions, clothing suggestions and other details for your volunteer experience!

  3. Communicate with team to find a day and time that works for you
  4. Schedule and confirm your shift
  5. Come in and enjoy your experience!
