We offer service opportunities for individuals who need to complete required hours of community service.

SVdP offers service opportunities for all types of volunteers. Individuals volunteer in their community for many reasons, and we’re here to help each person fulfill their unique purpose. When you volunteer and contribute to your community, we offer verification of your service to recognize your time with us. We have many opportunities to help fulfill a variety of needs.

Types of volunteers we serve for credit or required hours at SVdP

Who can volunteer?

All high schoolers are welcome to volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. The SVdP Volunteer Services team will help you coordinate an opportunity that is the best fit for you requirements.

What kinds of things can I do?

There are many volunteer opportunities to choose from. Please check with your teachers and advisors to ensure the opportunity you choose meets your requirements. Below are some possible opportunities you can participate in.

How do I schedule a volunteer opportunity?

First, complete the volunteer interest form. Then, our scheduling team will reach out via email to help coordinate your opportunity. You will need to be scheduled by our volunteer office and attend a volunteer orientation before your first shift to have your hours verified. We offer in-person and virtual orientation options. 

Who can volunteer?

We welcome all college students and groups to volunteer with us. Whether you’re volunteering for your own benefit, to meet a course or degree requirement, or as a club, we'd love to have you with us. We offer opportunities to meet many needs such as service-learning, direct service, field experience, internships, and much more. 

What kinds of things can I do?

We realize there are many different of reasons you need documented hours including the list above and we’re here to help. If you're looking to fill other types of school hours, you're involved in vocational rehabilitation, you need hours for veterans court, or any other reason we have opportunities for you to fill those hours at SVdP.
