Volunteers, come back! Summer opportunities.

As National Guard phases out, SVdP welcomes volunteers to return on site in small numbers

Are you interested in coming back on site to volunteer? We’re ready to slowly and safely welcome you in small numbers!

Throughout the pandemic, St. Vincent de Paul has been extremely grateful for the continued support and dedication from our volunteers — both in-person and virtual — to serve SVdP guests. That gratitude extends to the National Guard, who we relied on heavily to continue daily operations. But as the pandemic winds down and the Guard’s time with us comes to a close on August 31, we need community volunteers to return on site to help us feed, clothe, house and heal.

SVdP continues to update and practice health and safety protocols out of an abundance of caution to protect the vulnerable populations we serve.

  • Staff and volunteers working in areas that directly serve guests are required to wear masks.
  • We are relaxing our mask policy in areas without direct guest contact and in our retail stores.
  • We also continue to practice safe social distancing, especially in indoor settings.
  • We have numerous hand sanitizing stations.
  • The usual aprons and gloves are still required for food handling.

Please let us know if you are interested in signing up for a volunteer shift as soon as possible by sending an email to [email protected] or you can call our Volunteer Services Office at 602-261-6886. Current available volunteer opportunities are listed below. Outlined shifts can be split if necessary.

Also, virtual volunteering is sure to stick around for those who prefer serving remotely. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Thank you for helping to serve those in need with love and compassion.
