In Their Words: Gratitude Despite Circumstances
Resident shares about homelessness and finding renewed hope
The “In Their Words" series gives us a glimpse into the lives of St. Vincent de Paul guests and residents. Ozanam Manor resident Eva had a simple lifestyle, but she never expected to lose even the essentials, like food, shelter and clothing. In this video, Eva shares about her experience with homelessness and finding temporary shelter and renewed hope.
Ozanam Manor is St. Vincent de Paul's temporary shelter, which provides a bridge to permanent housing for homeless men and women over 50 who are physically or mentally disabled, and disabled adults age 18 and above. In this safe and supportive environment, residents receive help with job placement and rehousing assistance.
