Serving Thanksgiving meals across the Valley
This Thanksgiving, St. Vincent de Paul will ensure that those without a home or struggling to make ends meet, experience the warmth and nourishment a meal can bring on this special holiday. The nonprofit is set to make this a reality and expects to serve more than 7,000 meals on Nov. 28 to people experiencing homelessness and low-income families who rely on the SVdP’s four charity dining rooms across the Valley.
“As we continue to welcome new residents into our newly opened transitional shelters and witness the ongoing challenges of homelessness and rising cost of living, we remain committed to providing a Thanksgiving meal to those in need,” SVdP Food Services Director Adam Young said. “We welcome anyone in need of a hot meal to come visit one of our four dining rooms. Our kitchen staff and volunteers are putting love into making the traditional Thanksgiving fixings we prepare every year, ensuring that those in need can share in the same holiday meal experience as the rest of us.”
At each dining room, guests will enjoy roasted turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean almondine, corn bread stuffing, rolls, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.

*This dining room’s lunchtime meal service will host the Champions for the Homeless Thanksgiving event with former NFL great Nick Lowery and volunteers, including NFL footballers serving meals. There will be live music and lots of fun!

SVdP provided 3.17 million meals last year through its then five charity dining rooms and 168,000 food boxes to individuals and families in need through its 80+ neighborhood food pantries.
