Swiftie Liftie Club helps kick off SVdP's 100 Days of Summer campaign with workout and water drive

The Taylor Swift-inspired workout brought together more than 200 Swifties to help provide almost 25,000 bottles of water for those living on the street

Music, movement, and community impact came together on Sunday, May 31, as more than 200 Swifties gathered at St. Vincent de Paul’s (SVdP) main campus for a Taylor Swift-inspired workout led by Swiftie Liftie Club, paired with a water drive to help kick off SVdP’s 100 Days of Summer campaign.

Starting as early as 8:30 a.m., cars started lining up at SVdP’s main campus in south Phoenix.  One after another, attendees pulled in and opened trunks to show cars filled with cases of bottled water. They were greeted by volunteers ready to collect the donations that would soon become a critical part of SVdP’s summer heat relief efforts.

After donating almost 25,000 bottles of water, over 200 energetic Swifties gathered in SVdP's NextPhase Family Dining Room, ready to move, sing and sweat to Taylor Swift's music.Their participation helped support SVdP's efforts to provide life-saving water to vulnerable neighbors during Arizona's dangerous summer months.

Water is at the heart of SVdP’s annual 100 Days of Summer campaign, which runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day and focuses on high-need essentials each month: water in June, food in July and housing in August. During the summer months, SVdP distributes more than 3,000 bottles of water each day, nearly 600,000 bottles over the course of the summer.

The campaign is also about uniting the community to meet those needs together, and that is exactly what happened Sunday morning.

Swiftie Liftie Club transformed its pop-up workout event into a way to rally the community in support of SVdP’s summer heat relief efforts, helping collect cases of water and donating part of the ticket proceeds to support SVdP’s 100 Days of Summer campaign.

This event brought together an incredible community of people who showed up ready to move, have fun and make a difference,” said Jessica Berg, SVdP Chief Program Officer. “Every case of water donated helps us protect vulnerable neighbors from extreme summer heat, and partnerships like this allow us to reach new audiences in meaningful and impactful ways.

For Swiftie Liftie Club Founder Alexy Posner, the event reflected the heart of the community she built.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity and energy Swifties brought to this event,” Alexy said. “Seeing everyone come together to have fun, support St. Vincent de Paul and help save lives this summer through donated cases of water was special and exactly what Swiftie Liftie Club is all about — community.

Throughout the morning, Taylor Swift music blasted inside SVdP’s Family Dining Room as participants pushed through the workout, with every rep synced to lyrics attendees knew by heart.

By the end of the event, what began as a morning workout had become a powerful reminder of the impact a community can make when it comes together. Whether through a Taylor Swift-inspired workout or the donation of a case of water, every contribution helps support neighbors facing Arizona's brutal summer heat. That spirit of collective action is exactly what SVdP hopes the community will remember throughout its 100 Days of Summer campaign.
