As we get ready to open the doors of our new 100 bed transitional housing facility, and another 71 bed workforce development facility, we're excited to announce their official names: The transitional housing facility will be named as De Paul Manor, and the Workforce Development facility will be named Rosalie's Place.
We sat down with Shirley Smalley, our Board President of the Phoenix Diocesan Council, to talk about how these names were chosen. She's been a Vincentian for more than 40 years and held almost every position available on the board, so she's more than qualified to talk about St. Vincent de Paul's incredibly powerful history and beginnings.
