Kendrick not only had to worry about raising his child on his own, for a long time he was doing it on the street. That was until St. Vincent de Paul came into his life and put his housing journey on a fast track.
“I feel that I’m truly happy, now that I got my own place,” Kendrick said.
Now he’s got a new home with Kendra, his daughter, and thanks to SVdP’s Bringing Hope Home program, it is also furnished, so Kendrick doesn’t have to worry about spending his first several paychecks getting a crib or couch.
“You can’t escape the notion that they got a much better shot at life after today,” SVdP’s Chief Operations Officer Pat Donaldson said the day that Kendrick moved in.
